What We Do

Miles Ahead mobilizes volunteers to do something to transform their communities, to be God's hands and feet here on earth, erasing the borders between their faith and their actions. Do Something World (DSW) campaigns are a vehicle Miles Ahead uses in its goal to bring pervasive hope to individuals and communities around the world. Miles Ahead has shared the life-changing message of Jesus Christ with hundreds of thousands throughout the United States, Canada, Africa and the Caribbean.

How We Do It

Miles Ahead partners with church, business and government leaders to conduct a six-month DSW Campaign. Together we find sustainable solutions to community problems by harnessing the life-changing power of volunteers. These are community transformation initiatives, which include a free, two-day festival featuring top-rated bands, X-treme sports, kids zones and the life- changing message of Jesus Christ.

Why We Do It

Miles Ahead was started in 1992 by Miles McPherson, a former NFL player turned pastor, evangelist and author, whose life was transformed by the power of Christ's love. From hopelessness and an addiction to drugs, to motivating people to do something for others, McPherson stands at the forefront of transformation evangelism. He founded Miles Ahead with a focus of reaching the young and young-minded across the world with the life-changing good news of Jesus Christ.
