Welcome to our first eChronicle. Thank you for your continued support and prayers for Miles Ahead. God is at work and we are experiencing His blessings every day. You are a very important part of our ministry.

In the last several weeks, we have received clear confirmation and seen the Lord’s leading as we embark on the planning of our upcoming crusade, on May 2-3, 2008, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. This crusade will be in partnership with Luis Palau and a local Jamaican company called Jamaica Broilers.

This event will be a 50th anniversary celebration of Jamaica Broilers, a company known for producing all the chicken eaten in Jamaica. Thier desire is to thank God for the blessings they’ve received as a company. As part of their celebration, they have extended an invitation for us to hold a Miles Ahead Crusade and have offered financial support to cover part of the cost.

Jamaica is a nation that needs a touch from God in a new and fresh way! We would like to ask you to consider three ways to get involved in this exciting project:

Pray: Please pray for those who God has called to be part of this crusade: that they will step out in faith and come. Also pray for the leaders of each team: that God gives them clarity on how to serve the people of Jamaica through sports, street evangelism, medical teams, and ultimately the two crusades.

Give: The financial responsibility for the Jamaica Crusade rests on Miles Ahead and Jamaica Broilers. We need to raise $300,000 to make this possible. Please consider a special gift to help us. Donate here.

As we minister in Jamaica we are expecting God to do above and beyond what we imagine. There is the potential for some real impact. Specifically lives will be changed by the gospel; churches will be empowered to evangelize and care for youth more effectively. In addition to this we will bring a comprehensive plan for follow up. Pray that we will see all of this take place.
