Note From Miles

God has been opening some amazing opportunities for our ministry. In January I was able to speak with over 2,000 pastors in California and Jamaica. The core message I shared with them was to “Rethink” their center point of evangelism and to start thinking outside of the box. This is the message I want to challenge you with this month.

Think about the people you know; your friends, your family and all who you talk with on a regular basis. Everyone out there in one way or another are crying tears. We all have needs and people who are not in a relationship with Christ are crying. My question for you this month is, are your hearing the cries of the broken people around you? Do you see the pain and the issues they are dealing with? This is the center point of evangelism and in turn the starting point. Wipe those tears and meet their needs. If we start there then they will see a living example of Christ in their lives and God will work. Also, pray and ask God to help you to love people as they are and not as you would like them to be.

God is doing a great work through Miles Ahead. I want to challenge you to be part of what we’re being privileged to partner with God on. On Jan 24-25 I was in Jamaica for two pastors conferences. I saw first hand the needs that exist in Montego Bay, which is where we will be having our crusade May 2-3. I was able to visit the two schools where we will be sending work teams and I also visited one of six sites where we’ll have our medical clinics. I was moved deeply and am excited that many of you are joining us in Jamaica to make a difference. We need your help! It is not too late to sign up.

Thanks for all your support. We need your prayers and financial support to keep impacting the lives of young people. Please be a part of this great legacy.

No Paradise Is Perfect
Jamaica Update

The highlight of this past month was to see God answer prayer in Jamaica. Over 250 pastors came together in Montego Bay and Kingston for our innovative Evangelism Conferences. Both days were very lively and so many pastors remarked that this was such a blessing to them and to their ministries.

In Montego Bay we were told that this was one of the most significant and largest gathering of pastors in western Jamaica for many year. We believe that God will water the seeds that were planted through Miles as he had the opportunity to share with these leaders.

There was a lot of excitement for the upcoming crusade.

Miles was able to meet community leaders, speak in to a class of 14-15 years olds in one of the schools we will do community projects. Also, Miles visited one of our medical sites. Our ministry teams are making their plans and to date we have over 240 who have signed up to come with us. If you still are interested in joining us it is not too late. Contact us soon as space is limited.

Please pray for the relationships which are developing in Trinidad. God may be getting ready to open up Trinidad for us to do ministry there in 2009. During the pastors conferences in Jamaica there were two pastors who came to meet with us to assess whether Miles Ahead’s ministry would be relevant and received well in Trinidad.

Both pastors who came were very excited and they are considering having Miles at a major conference in April. This is a way for Miles to be introduced to the leaders of the country. Keep praying…

Another meeting is schedule with pastors and business leaders in Wichita for early February to share the vision for a Miles Ahead event with a wider group. The core leaders are trying to build ownership from day one.

Pray for God to build the team and the vision. Pray also for us to be able to identify dates and a venue in the next couple of months.

How is God speaking to you about Miles Ahead? We so appreciate your prayers. We know God will continue to answer prayers and will meet the needs of this ministry. Jamaica and all that is starting to unfold are very significant opportunities. Please stand with us monthly or with a one time gift. If you can please consider a monthly gift of $50, $100, $500, or $1,000. As the Lord leads you, please know we are leaning on your faithfulness to make a difference in reaching the next generation.

Please pray for:

1) Development of future ministry in Wichita and Trinidad and Tobago.

2) God’s hand to continue to be upon Miles McPherson.

3) Ministry teams as they prepare to come to Jamaica.

4) Finances that are needed for Jamaica. $350,000.

5) More churches and leaders to get involved in the Jamaica Crusade.

6) For the Spirit of God to move in Jamaica and prepare youth for the message.
